BJD Salome: More Torso 4 by FreakStyleBJD BJD Salome: More Torso 4 by FreakStyleBJD
New body sculpt for a 45 cm doll. She's made from Ladoll clay.

Because I used NSP as a core to build her on, her stomach area has a different colour. It didn't look very attractive, that's why these pictures are uploaded in black and white.

Salomé still needs more work to get her symmetrical, but before I do that, I will start making her joints first. Chances are much of the detail will get lost otherwise.

Thank you! Maybe you like Salomé and Eve as well. They're the same(ish) bodytype.

Thanks :). This is a sculpt that I didn't finish, but resculpted in a different type of clay. Salomé became the end result :).

what's NSP?
other than that - whenever i sculpt, i never get beyond this point ^^; the torso...
and, can you really make joints?

NSP is a sulphur-free plastiline that you could use for creating molds.

As for the torso, if you look at my other pictures of Salomé, you can see that I've cut the torso up (not this torso, I've changed clays in between and had to start over) and where the cuts are, I'm placing round(ish) clay balls for joints.

It takes a bit of nerve, I tell you :).

Actually, there were some problems with the overall proportions, so I'm currently working on a new body, made with Super Sculpey.

Maybe I'll return to this torso when the other one is done, but I'm not sure yet.

Thank you :D. I personally like to see the WIP of other doll makers as well, so I decided to leave pictures of a doll in an early stage here.

Love love love the detail... and love the natural look and the pear-shaped body, too! Can't wait to see this finished.

Thank you so much :D! She's slowly coming together, I'm currently working on her torsojoint and legs. Hopefully, the joint is finished soon, so I can add more detail.

Thanks! I really love the fleshy look and I'm now trying to figure out how to get her torso joint to work without losing her shape. It's quite a puzzle! I love it :).

Thank you. I was glad when I saw your Dea. There are not many 'woman'dolls around and I think that your doll is absolutely lovely. Your doll inspired me to continue with mine.
