BJD Salome: More Torso 4 by FreakStyleBJD BJD Salome: More Torso 4 by FreakStyleBJD
New body sculpt for a 45 cm doll. She's made from Ladoll clay.

Because I used NSP as a core to build her on, her stomach area has a different colour. It didn't look very attractive, that's why these pictures are uploaded in black and white.

Salomé still needs more work to get her symmetrical, but before I do that, I will start making her joints first. Chances are much of the detail will get lost otherwise.

Thank you! Maybe you like Salomé and Eve as well. They're the same(ish) bodytype.

Thanks :). This is a sculpt that I didn't finish, but resculpted in a different type of clay. Salomé became the end result :).

what's NSP?
other than that - whenever i sculpt, i never get beyond this point ^^; the torso...

NSP is a sulphur-free plastiline that you could use for creating molds.

As for the torso, if you look at my other pictures of Salomé, you can see that I've cut the torso up (not this torso, I've changed clays in between and had to start over) and where the cuts are, I'm placing round(ish) clay balls for joints.

It takes a bit of nerve, I tell you :).

Actually, there were some problems with the overall proportions, so I'm currently working on a new body, made with Super Sculpey.

Maybe I'll return to this torso when the other one is done, but I'm not sure yet.
