Because I used NSP as a core to build her on, her stomach area has a different colour. It didn't look very attractive, that's why these pictures are uploaded in black and white.
Salomé still needs more work to get her symmetrical, but before I do that, I will start making her joints first. Chances are much of the detail will get lost otherwise.
other than that - whenever i sculpt, i never get beyond this point the torso...
and, can you really make joints?
As for the torso, if you look at my other pictures of Salomé, you can see that I've cut the torso up (not this torso, I've changed clays in between and had to start over) and where the cuts are, I'm placing round(ish) clay balls for joints.
It takes a bit of nerve, I tell you .
Actually, there were some problems with the overall proportions, so I'm currently working on a new body, made with Super Sculpey.
Maybe I'll return to this torso when the other one is done, but I'm not sure yet.
