BJD Evolution by FreakStyleBJD BJD Evolution by FreakStyleBJD
I was cleaning out my sculpting cabinet today and came across the first doll heads I made. It's been two years, but I never imagined the difference between the oldest and newest head would be so great! Thought it would be neat to see them all side by side.

Left - right = oldest - newest (if you couldn't tell ;)).

Haha, thanks. I like smiles too. Puck (the smiling doll) was actually the first doll I released. The two on the left were practice heads and I didn't think they were good enough to sell.

Jethro!!! and Cyriak too! Maybe Jethro could look good on a 70cm body. You are so talented, even the first ones are sculpted so beautiful, everyone have a different face, is awesome how each one have their own personality.

It's funny because when I look at Jethro and Cyriak now, I do appreciate them, but I consider them try-outs. I can clearly see how I was having trouble with getting different features to look right. They look... strained (in lack for a better word).

But I really like seeing them together and see how everyone is looking the same style-wise.

Funny, it seems your flow is happy-sad-happy-sad :P Well, until the last one. Can't really tell if he's looking serious or just relaxed.

Sasha is more relaxed looking than anything. The happy-sad flow could also come from the fact that I wasn't completely happy with how the first two heads turned out and I wanted to try again. But I have to say that I like working on a different expression every time I'm working on a new sculpt.

I can imagine. If you'd be sculpting just super happy or just super grumpy faces you'd probably go insane after a while xD
